What qualifications can I receive?

Fully Government accredited courses are offered for the following qualifications:

Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology (1 year)
Diploma in Christian Ministry and Theology (6 months from Feb to July after completion of an accredited Cert 4 in Christian Ministry and Theology)
 

What subjects will I study?

Biblical Studies, Ministry Practices, Management or Community Development skills, Leadership Principles, Preaching, Christian Theology, Pastoral Care, Theology and Practice and other contemporary subjects.

Why don't I just do these courses on-line?

Because History Makers College brings the added dimension of face to face ministry, impartation and practical experience sharing from Pastors Nathan and Bruce Claridge and other contemporary leaders.

Can I still be involved in my local Church ministry?

Certainly! The courses are designed to ensure students are free to minister in their local Churches where practical experience assignments are carried out or to be part of the life of the College Church.

How many days a week will I be expected at College?
Certificate IV students will be at the College on Mondays and Tuesdays only.
 
Time Frame for students completing their Diploma is from Monday morning to Wednesday lunchtime for the 6 months following the completion of their Certificate IV.

Can I get Youth Allowance / Austudy / Fee Help?

As fully accredited courses are offered under the covering of the Australian Apostolic College (RTO No: 31776, Centrelink Course Approval No: 4P846), all students are eligible to apply for this financial support.

Will the College help me with accommodation?

Through the covering Church and other Bendigo accommodation networks, you will be helped to find accommodation suitable to your needs.

When will the College courses commence and finish?

The course subjects will be offered in line with the Victorian State Schools 4 terms. i.e. Commencing in early February and concluding in December.

Can I study part-time?

Yes. All qualifications may be achieved on a part time basis.

What other History Maker ventures can I be involved in?
  • Short term mission trips to Vanuatu, India or Africa
  • Mentoring opportunities and community action initiatives
  • Assist in the production of the annual History Makers Conference
